What Penalties Can the Influencer Face If They Fail to Deliver the Content as Agreed?
The immediate consequence is that the deal fails and the brand gets their money back. Your account is a separate question, and one missed deadline is not what suspends it.
What this page used to say
Correction to an earlier version of this page. It said your account will be suspended for not fulfilling a collaboration, stated as the automatic result of one missed deadline. That is not how it works, and it also left out the grace window below, in which you can still deliver and still be paid in full.
What actually happens, with the dates
The agreed date passes
Nothing happens yet. The card reads You are late but you can still publish the post and submit its URL
2 days after the date
The deal expires. The money is still in escrow, so you can still rescue it
3 days after the date
The brand is refunded. After this only the brand can restart the deal
How to rescue it while the money is still held

Open the deal chat in the app.

Publish the post and tap Submit Post URL. That revives the deal and pushes the date 7 days ahead.

Or tap Extend Deadline and pick a later date. It applies immediately, with no approval needed from the brand.

Message the brand either way, so a late delivery is not also a surprise.
The real costs of a failed deal

Good to know
Extend before the date rather than after. Extending in time stops the expiry and refund timers from ever starting, and a brand told in advance usually does not mind at all.
Why this helps you
The grace window is deliberately on your side. Escrow keeps holding the money for several days past the deadline so that a bad week does not void work you were always going to deliver.
