Can You Negotiate With the Brand While Your Proposal Is in ‘Waiting Payment’ Status?

acmp-rewritten

Yes, and that is exactly what the stage is for. Waiting Payment means the brand accepted your offer but has not paid, so everything is still open.

Important
Do not start creating yet. Nothing is held for you until the brand pays. If a brand goes quiet at this stage and you have already filmed, there is no escrow protecting that work.
What the brand sees and does
They get reminder emails after 3 hours and 24 hours if the offer is still unpaid, plus further reminders at 1 and 3 days.
They may change the delivery date while paying. If the date is less than 24 hours away or has passed, the app makes them pick a new one, and that change happens without asking you. A chat message tells you.
The checkout is valid for 30 minutes once they start it. An expired checkout is not a refusal, they just need to click Pay again.
What happens when they pay
Step 1
Brand pays
Money moves into escrow
›
Step 2
Status changes
Paid & Scheduled
›
Step 3
You get reminders
72, 24, 12, 6 and 3 hours before the date
›
Step 4
You post and submit
Then they approve and you are paid
Good to know
Use this stage to get the brief in writing. A brand who confirms the concept in the chat before paying removes almost all the risk of a disapproval later, and the chat is the record if you disagree.
If they never pay

Nothing is lost and nothing is charged. Keep offering on other campaigns, and send one polite follow-up in the chat. See what to do if the brand is unresponsive.

Why this helps you
Negotiation happening before any money moves is what keeps a mismatched deal from becoming a failed one. Every question you ask at this stage costs nothing and prevents a disapproval that would cost you the whole payment.
