Will the Budget Need to Be Adjusted If You Change the Type of Content or Create a New Campaign?
acmp-rewritten
Usually yes, and how you handle it depends on whether you have paid.
The simple rule
More work means a higher price. Moving from a Story to a dedicated Reel is a bigger ask and creators price it that way.
Less work does not automatically mean a lower price. The creator has to agree to a reduction just as they would an increase.
If they are happy to keep the original price, you can proceed unchanged. That is entirely between you.
If you have not paid yet
Edit the offer with the new format and the new price together and send it for approval. Nothing is charged until the creator accepts and you pay.
If you have already paid
Step 1
You edit the deal
New format, new price
›
Step 2
Price higher?
You pay the difference before the request is sent
›
Step 3
They accept
The extra moves into escrow and the deal updates
›
Step 4
They reject
Old terms stand, the extra returns to your wallet
Important
If the new price is lower and they accept, the difference comes back to your wallet. If they reject, everything stays exactly as it was.
Keeping the maths honest
| Change | Reasonable direction |
|---|---|
| Story to feed post | Up |
| Feed post to Reel or video | Up, usually significantly |
| Adding a second deliverable | Up. It is a separate piece of work |
| Adding usage in your own ads | Up. It is a separate right |
| Removing a deliverable | Down, if they agree |
Good to know
Propose the new price with a short reason in the chat before you send the formal request. A creator who understands the change usually accepts first time, and you only get two revision requests.
Why this helps you
Everything stays in escrow while you negotiate, including the extra you pay for a change. If the creator says no, that money comes straight back to your wallet, so proposing a change costs you nothing but time.
