What Happens If Your Post Is Not Published on the Scheduled Date?
acmp-rewritten
Nothing happens on the date itself. You get a grace window, and while it lasts you can still deliver and still be paid in full. Knowing the exact numbers is the difference between saving a deal and losing it.
The timeline after a missed date
The agreed date passes
Nothing happens yet. The card says You are late but you can still publish the post and submit its URL
2 days after the date
The deal expires. You get Content failed to be published. The money is still in escrow
3 days after the date
The brand is refunded. This is the point of no return for you
Important
The window to fix it is between those two marks. While the money is still in escrow you can rescue the deal yourself. Once the refund has happened, only the brand can restart it, and they have to pay again to do so.
How to rescue it yourself
1
Open the deal chat in the app.
2
Publish the post now and tap Submit Post URL. That revives the deal and pushes the date 7 days ahead.
3
Or tap Extend Deadline and pick a later date. That also revives it, and it takes effect immediately without the brand having to agree.
4
Message the brand either way. A late post they were told about is a very different thing from silence.
The single biggest trap in delivery
An Instagram story is not a readable link. Nor is a private post, a profile link, or a link on an unsupported site. When we cannot fetch the post, your deadline is not extended by 7 days, so a late submission can fail within hours. Submit the direct link to a feed post or reel.
What about your account?
One missed date does not suspend your account. It fails the deal and the brand is refunded, and repeatedly not delivering is a guideline problem that can lead to a suspension. One deal that slipped, especially one you communicated about, is not that.
Good to know
Talk to the brand before the date, not after. Brands are generally willing to move a date when they hear about it early. The same message a week late reads as an excuse.
Why this helps you
The grace window exists because real life interferes with content schedules. Escrow holding the money for several days past the deadline is deliberately in your favour: it gives you time to deliver rather than voiding the deal the moment the clock strikes.
