Why Does Ainfluencer Say Your Instagram Username Is Incorrect When Linking Your Account?

acmp-rewritten

This almost always means one thing: you changed your username on Instagram after connecting it. We stored the old one and do not detect the change on our own, so the two no longer match.

The fix, in three taps
1
Open the Ainfluencer app and go to Profile, where your connected accounts are listed.
2
Find the account and tap the three dots in the top right of its card.
3
Tap Sync with my Instagram.

That pulls your current username, profile picture and follower count across, and the error goes away.

If Sync does not resolve it
Check the spelling. Enter the username exactly, with no @ and no spaces.
Use the username, not the display name. They are often different.
If the account shows as Archived, that is the same cause gone further: we could no longer find the username at all. Email support with your current username and it can be restored.
If the account is now connected to another login, you will see a different message. Contact support with both email addresses.
Good to know
Changed your username and your account still looks fine? Sync anyway. Brands see the stored username, so an out-of-date one means a brand clicking through to your profile lands nowhere.
Why this helps you
Sync exists because creators rebrand, and losing your deal history every time you rename an account would be absurd. Your reviews, completed deals and reputation stay with the Ainfluencer account, not with the username.
