What Happens If You Are Unable to Complete the Collaboration Within the Given Time?
acmp-rewritten
You can move your own deadline, and you do not need the brand’s permission. That is the single most useful thing to know here, and this page used to say the opposite.
What this page used to say
Correction to an earlier version of this page. It said you must request an extension from the brand and that the deal fails if they decline. There is no request and no approval: you tap Extend Deadline, pick a date, and it takes effect immediately. The page also said your account will be suspended for not completing a collaboration, which is not the automatic result of one missed deadline.
Extend the deadline, in four taps
1
Open the deal chat in the app.
2
On the offer card tap Extend Deadline.
3
Pick the new delivery date. It must be later than the current one.
4
Tap Submit. It applies at once, and a chat message tells the brand.
The real limits
| Rule | Detail |
|---|---|
| How many times | Once per scheduled period |
| The counter resets | When a deal expires, so after a failure you get another one |
| How far ahead | Any date in the future |
| When you cannot | After the delivery is approved, or after the brand has been refunded |
If you do not extend and do not deliver
The agreed date passes
Nothing happens yet. The card reads You are late but you can still publish the post and submit its URL
2 days after the date
The deal expires. The money is still in escrow, so you can still rescue it
3 days after the date
The brand is refunded. After this only the brand can restart the deal
While the money is still in escrow you can rescue the deal: publish and tap Submit Post URL, which revives it and pushes the date 7 days ahead, or extend the deadline. Once the refund has happened only the brand can restart it, and they have to pay again.
If you genuinely cannot do it at all
Say so in the chat, early. A brand told a week ahead can find someone else and will usually work with you again.
There is no cancel button for influencers. The deal resolves through the timers, or through the brand approving or disapproving.
Do not go silent. Silence is what turns a scheduling problem into a bad review.
Why this helps you
Being able to move your own deadline without waiting on anyone is deliberately on your side: a brand who is asleep or on holiday cannot cost you a deal you were always going to deliver.
