Is Adding the Verification Code to Your Instagram Permanent?

acmp-rewritten

The code does not go in your bio at all any more. If you came here to find out when you can remove it, the answer is that you never needed to add it.

The method changed
The bio method has been switched off. Some older screens and articles still mention it, which is why this question keeps coming up. Verification is now done with a direct message.

So is anything permanent?

No. Nothing is added to your profile, nothing is changed on your Instagram account, and there is nothing to remove afterwards. The only lasting thing is that you are following @ainfluencer.official, and you can unfollow if you want to, although most creators keep it for the updates.

Good to know
If you already put a code in your bio, nothing bad has happened and nothing was verified by it. Remove it whenever you like and do the DM step instead.
TikTok and YouTube do not use a code

Both are verified by signing in with the platform. If you see a Prove it’s you screen after the TikTok media kit, your account is already connected: that screen is a reminder to follow us, not a second verification.

Why this helps you
The DM method is better for you than the bio ever was. Your profile is never altered, nothing has to be removed later, and a private account can verify just as easily as a public one.
